Our company is quickly growing, and we are seeking a qualified cost segregation consultant to join our tight-knit team. Creating compliant and thorough cost segregation studies to optimize tax savings is at the core of our work. Our Cost Segregation team utilizes construction cost estimation techniques to enhance tax depreciation. This process involves a detailed engineering analysis that includes reviewing architectural plans and conducting on-site inspections. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, or engineering, with a focus on real estate and tax strategies. This candidate must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time throughout continental United States.

What you will need:


  • A Bachelor’s degree with a focus in accounting, business, construction management, or engineering.
  • 1-3 years of accounting or engineering experience is desirable, but recent college graduate applications will be accepted and considered.
  • No prior experience with tax credits is necessary.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Excel.
  • A valid United States driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel independently or as part of a team to client locations throughout the USA.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct cost segregation studies on commercial and residential properties to identify and categorize property components for accelerated depreciation.
  • Analyze construction documents, architectural drawings, and financial records to determine qualified assets.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing our findings with tax support.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and goals.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to document the nature and use of all depreciable property.
  • Support leadership with audits by collecting data, analyses, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
