Consultant - R&D Tax Credit

Our company is quickly growing, and we are seeking a qualified
R&D Tax Credit Consultant to join our tight-knit team. Creating compliant and thorough R&D Tax Credit studies using a combination of engineering and tax legislation to optimize tax savings is at the core of our work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, or engineering, with a focus on niche tax strategies. This candidate must be willing to travel up to 30% of the time throughout continental United States.

What you will need:
- A Bachelor’s degree with a focus in accounting, business, construction management, or engineering.
- 1-3 years of accounting or engineering experience, however recent college graduate applications will be considered.
- Some experience with tax credits.
- Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experienced in Microsoft Excel.
- A valid United States driver’s license.
- Ability to travel independently or as part of a team to client locations throughout the USA.
Responsibilities:
- A successful candidate will be prepared to assist the current leadership in expanding revenue by working with practice offices on existing clients and external opportunities coming through our business development team.
- Develop and execute project work plans
- Lead technical interviews with client personnel such as scientists and engineers
- Develop appropriate quantitative and qualitative documentation to support project results
- Identify value-added opportunities and work in a team environment to develop business
- Exhibit proven leadership and project management skills in managing client service teams and multiple projects in a fast-paced and interactive team environment to meet and exceed client expectations
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
- Personal drive to develop self/others and provide leadership insight to the existing leadership team
- Analyze available financial reports for each respective project in order to prepare R&D Tax Credit calculations
- Prepare written technical conclusions foreach project’s findings
- Conduct site visits at client locations to document and consult regarding the nature and use of research and development resources
- Ongoing client relationship management
